Examining the role of corporate culture in predicting employee retention at the Bank of Namibia

Article Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of corporate culture on employee retention at the Bank of Namibia. Data for this survey was collected through a web-based questionnaire. The research population was the employees at the headquarters of Bank of Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia. The sample size of the study is 150 as determined with Michael Slovin's sampling method. The simple random sampling technique was utilized to distribute the questionnaires via email to 150 employees of Bank of Namibia. A total 71 valid responses were received back and used for analysis. Ethical procedures for participants' confidentiality and anonymity were followed. The research employed a quantitative methodology. Regression analysis was exploited as a statistical data analysis tool in Excel to test the hypothesis of this study. The findings of the study demonstrated that there is a functional relationship between the corporate culture of the Bank of Namibia and employee retention. The findings further demonstrate that the Bank of Namibia's corporate culture influences the relationship between a conducive working environment and employee retention.
