Article Abstract

This theoretical study focuses on how digital records management (DRM) might help Africa, a region that is especially vulnerable to climate change, increase the effectiveness of its climate action initiatives. Addressing climate change requires effective information management, and DRM makes obtaining dependable, long-lasting data on climate initiatives easier. The study examines how DRM has been successfully used in African climate programs and shows how it improves data utilisation and policymaking. It also recognises issues with data security, training requirements, and infrastructure restrictions. Africa can improve the planning and implementation of climate action by investing in DRM, enabling climate data to become an effective instrument for fostering resilience. In the end, robust DRM allows information and knowledge to be translated into practical measures and adaptation plans, greatly enhancing Africa's response to climate change.
